So today at 7:00 me and my mom went down to our local park for the "Alter our World" 5k run/walk with your dog, put on by our local humane society. The event was amazing, you could run, run with your dog, or 'borrow' a dog from the humane society to run with. I, being the insane animal lover that I am

, borrowed a dog from the humane society.
His name was Georgie, (though I was told afterward it was George, as well as Jacob

) He was a 9-month old Pitt-Bull mix, colored black with a less-typical head shape, and let me tell you he was the sweetest dog! Pitt-bulls may be more likely to turn out bad, but that certainly does not mean they all are, half the dogs there were Pitt-Bull mixes, and the only fight involved a Border Collie and a Dachshund.
Anyway, I ran with my friend who had borrowed 'Cody', a Pitt-Bull Husky mix. The dog had so much fun

They, being both puppies, ran nearly the entire way! We had to pull them to let us breath for a moment. Eventually they did get tired, but we still managed to finish in 33:40. After that they were hardly even tired! No they marched right up to the Petco station and demanded their free tennis balls!

The event raised 3,000 dollars for the humane society, above the cost of the race.
After that, it got me thinking about volunteering at the Humane society, which I've always wanted to do. So today is a happy day.
